From Folk to Rock, flirting with Country, Blues and just the right dose of darkness, the one that makes you smile, The Doc Foster Band has many ways to express its identity. Maik Hummel, his brother Jakob and their fellows Steven Krokodil & Erik Dinosaurier used be part of a film group in 2008 when they decided to trade picture for sound and create the Doc Foster Band. Highly respected by the Leipziger music scene, the Docs have proved their experience by making their dark magic operate when they hit the stages around the city and across Germany.

Flimmerfrühstück – das sind Lothar, Karl, Mark und Fabian, vier Mittzwanziger aus Leipzig, die aus den Zutaten Indie, Pop und Jazz und gewürzt mit deutschen Texten ein Menü für die Ohren schaffen, dass das Zeug zum Leibgericht hat. Selbstbewusst und elegant servieren sie frischen Pop und freche Balladen, die in ihrer Mischung nicht nur sämtliche musikalische Geschmacksknospen öffnen, sondern das Küchen-Kunststück vollbringen, zur gleichen Zeit zu sättigen und unbändigen Hunger auf mehr zu machen.

Mit Mut zu Experimenten, spontanen Eingebungen und unbändiger Spielfreude sucht die fünfköpfige Band tanzfreudiges Publikum.

Die Soulsongwriterin Maria Schüritz wird von der wunderbaren Französin Maewen Forest am Keyboard, "Mister Guitarfunk" Daniel Mariano, Felix Kaduk am Groove-Bass und dem unglaublich kreativen Schagzeuger Pirr (im zweiten Leben Punksänger) begleitet.

Im März 2010 fanden sich die fünf Musiker zusammen, um ihre gemeinsame Begeisterung für Funk gemixt mit verschiedensten anderen Stilen auszuleben. Mit einem groovenden Programm aus eigenen Stücken und Coversongs stürmen sie nun die Bühnen.

Die bisherigen Höhepunkte des Jahres 2011 waren das Finale des "Leipzig. Courage zeigen"-Jugendwettbewerbs im ANKER und ein Slot beim Crossover-Festival in Grimma.

To tell you something about the Vibes Ambassadors story we have to go back into the year 2001. After a long period of saving money DJ Ratz-Baddz (aka DJ Paddz) was able to buy himself two cheap Reloop mk2.
This was the cornerstone of the Vibes Ambassadors Movement.
Starting with classic HipHop and early Dancehall vinyls Ratz-Baddz improved his abilities fastly and infected a lot of his friends with this feeling of cutting old "black gold" discs (This IS and WAS especially for a generation like us, living up with compact discs, pcs and mp3s, a real oldskool and extraordinary feeling).
From the beginning of collecting every good 7" and 12" records Ratz-Baddz and Paloma could get in their youthful hands, they smashed a lot of home partys. As the recordbox was full enough for some public actions, the first big gig took place on New Year's Eve 2005 in the "TangoFabrik" in LE - the Vibes Ambassadors were born.
Nowadays a wide range from Drum & Bass and Dubstep to Jungle and from Ska to Rocksteady inspires our own style.
Vibes are more than just feelings, they are messages which we try to bring to you. We want you to think and reflect about our chanted songs and yourself to fight for a better world.
